Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026. This policy explains what data Love2PDF collects, how it is used, and what we never do with it. We have written it in plain English because privacy policies written in legal language that nobody reads do not actually protect anyone.
Your PDF files
For browser-based tools — Merge PDF, Split PDF, Rotate PDF, Reorder Pages, PDF to Image, Image to PDF, and Watermark PDF — your files never leave your device. Processing happens entirely inside your browser tab using JavaScript. We receive no copy of your file, no metadata about its contents, and no record of what was in it. The file exists only in your browser's memory and is gone when you close the tab or navigate away.
For server-based tools — currently Compress PDF, which is in development — your file is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our processing server. It is handled entirely in memory, is never written to disk, and is deleted automatically the moment your download completes. We do not log file contents, we do not analyse your documents, and we do not retain any copy after your session ends.
What we collect
When you use a tool, we log: which tool was used, whether it succeeded, the approximate file size in kilobytes, your country (from your IP address via Cloudflare), and your device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet). We also store a browser fingerprint ID generated by FingerprintJS to enforce the daily usage limit for anonymous users. We do not log the contents of your files, your IP address directly, or any personally identifiable information beyond what you provide when creating an account.
Account data
If you create an account, we store your email address, display name, and the authentication method you used (Google or email). We use this to identify you across sessions and to apply your daily usage limit. If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email for that purpose. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.
Cookies and tracking
We use Supabase for authentication, which sets a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that share your data with advertisers. Cloudflare handles our infrastructure and processes request metadata in accordance with their privacy policy.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hello@love2pdf.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. You can update your profile information and newsletter preferences at any time from your dashboard.
